Ark Xtra! is a welcoming and supportive respite service created with families in mind, offering children a safe, fun, and nurturing space to play, explore, and build confidence.
Thanks to funding from Colchester Catalyst, we are able to offer heavily subsidised sessions the first Saturday of every month, helping to make this valuable support more accessible for families who need it.
Sessions run from 9.30am – 2.30pm and are led by our caring team of qualified Early Years Practitioners, who take the time to get to know each child and support them in a way that suits their individual needs.
Ark Xtra! is suitable for children aged 2 to 8 years (up to Key Stage 1), with a range of engaging, inclusive activities designed to support development, wellbeing, and – most importantly – enjoyment. Children do not require a formal diagnosis to attend, and we welcome families who feel their child would benefit from a little extra support.
